    Update: Got a message from a reader regarding the picture above: 

    “Golden Gate Bridge is a toll bridge, therefore if someone marked the setting to “ignore toll roads” the software would automatically take them on the next best free route, which happens to be the ferry.”

    Update II from abitnippy: 1. Taking the Golden Gate from San Francisco to Sausalito is free of charge. Taking it back into San Francisco from Sausalito costs $6.
